Weight: Early morning measure: Hanging in there at 171#
Silhouette: Patience will have to do (pig).
Breakfast Truck food. That is; eating grapes while driving to Baraboo (yes, again).
Lunch: Into the afternoon and getting hungry, I began to daydream about a Big Mac. Noah the wise talked me out of it and suggested Mama Mia’s pizza downtown Baraboo! I only had ONE slice. I am not sure what was under all the cheese on top of that plate filling wedge, but it was at least as much as is found in a Big Mac meal! And lemonade.
Dinner: Noah’s girlfriend, Emmalee, busied herself this afternoon making dinner for all of us (Kiki and Josh arrived later). And what a feast! Artichoke chicken, she called it, with a rice dish and steamed veggies on the side.
Challenges: Passed on the Mcfood, and that was good. But the giant slice of pizza….was good too. FAILING SUCCESS? (One must eat something!) Traditionally, I would have looked for seconds at dinner, but the taste buds were exhausted from being overworked. But I did volunteer to wash the (lick the) dishes.
Thoughts: Being away from home just changes everything. Away from my own cupboards, refrigerator etc, and I seem to lose my balance. Like a fish out of water, perhaps, I start to inhale carelessly, just trying to maintain life. I must take my diet with me wherever I go, and not find excuses to cheat (myself).
Emmalee’s artichoke chicken meal was one of those where you just want to use every taste bud to the max. You take a bite and want to swish it around in your mouth until every corpuscle of taste is discovered and usurped! Thanks Emm, for all the hard work!
I do think she put something special in there, however, which affected only older folk. When we played Scrabble later, it was Noah and Josh who put their parents to shame! (I’m just asking, but is it really legal to make four new words with only four letters?)
