One fantastic program for mothers in the area is MOPS. MOPS, which stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers”, is a national non-profit group for moms. They have a meeting at least once a month (with childcare provided), playgroups, mom’s night out events and much more. It is a Christian organization, but you definitely do not have to be a Christian to join.

Dekalb County Mothers and More
Another option for moms in the Atlanta area is the Dekalb county Mothers and More group. They provide playgroups, mom meetings, book clubs, trivia nights and much more. A third wonderful mother’s club for Altanta moms is Mocha Moms. It is a “national support group for at-home mothers of color.” However, they do not discriminate and anyone who supports the mission of Mocha Moms can join. The group encourages the spirit of community activism, while promoting friendships and support through motherhood.
Another mom’s group in the Altanta area is the International Mom’s Club. There is currently not a group for Atlanta only, but there are several in the areas surrounding it, such as Smyrna. La Leche League
La Leche League provides support and advice to breastfeeding moms, or pregnant moms who plan to breastfeed. If you want to meet other moms and find help with breastfeeding issues, this is the group for you. You might also connect with moms who do cloth diapering, co-sleeping, baby wearing, and more.
