So far away from home on this Thanksgiving Day,
But I’m giving lots of thanks anyway.
I’m thankful for my family, wherever they may be,
And I’m thankful for the amazing gift of technology:
I’m thankful for the phone lines full of voices,
And planes that cover the miles
Faster than ever before,
And e-mails full of picture files
That I can see and store.
I’m thankful for the friends I have, whether far or near,
I’m thankful that, in my heart, I hold each one dear.
I’m thankful for my health and wealth, the little that I’ve got,
I don’t need fancy cars, bikes or yachts.
I’m thankful for the little things that never seem like much,
Until you haven’t got them, like coffee, tea and such.
I’m thankful for so many things, each and every day,
More thankful than words could ever say.
