Do you want to vote in the November 2nd election but you are going to be out of town and you forgot to request an absentee ballot? No problem! Or maybe you just want to skip the crowds on election day. You can still have your vote counted by visiting the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters, 1555 Berger Drive, San Jose, before November 2. Any registered voter in Mountain View and within Santa Clara County is eligible to vote early.
Registered voters can vote Monday through Friday anytime from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday October 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; or Sunday October 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Registrar of Voters will be open for voting on election day, November 2, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Those who just want to come by and drop off their absentee ballots can do so by placing their sealed and signed ballot in the box by the Registrar of Voter’s flagpole in the parking lot. Those mailing absentee ballots need to make sure their absentee ballot arrives at the Registrar of Voters by November 2 in order to have their vote counted in this year’s election. Or absentee ballots can be dropped off at any voting location on election day.
