October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and in recent years, local government agencies have been working to bring a spotlight on an issue that affects the whole community. Domestic violence leads to the deaths of countless men and women every year and the ones that do survive are in need of help to break away from the relationships.
The City of Mountain View and the Domestic Violence Information & Resource Collaborative have partnered to present the Domestic Violence Information & Resource Workshop on Thursday, October 21 from 6pm until 8pm. It will be held in the auditorium of the Rengstorff Community Center on Rengstorff Avenue and is for residents of Mountain View.
Over thirty agencies will be present to share information and provide resources on domestic violence topics, such as emergency shelter options and local support groups.
