My personal experience with MyFitnessPal.com has been outstanding. Starting out, I lost weight, with no radical steps. The Food section of MyFitnessPal.com allows you to track your daily food intake. The system generates dietary guidelines based on your current weight and your weight loss goals. As your progress your goals can be adjusted at any time.
To begin my weight loss journey, I simply registered on MyFitnessPal.com and began tracking my food intake. I tried to make it a point to update MyFitnessPal.com’s food diary after every meal. This alone began to cause weight loss, without trying or drastically changing my eating habits! If I logged a large or unhealthy breakfast or lunch, I could quickly see how many calories I had remaining for the rest of the day. I would try to tailor my dinner and snacks around this number.
Soon after, I began to think more about what these calories represent. I realized that I could eat a substantial amount of non processed fruits and vegetables during a meal and my calorie count for the meal would only increase slightly, yet I would feel just as full! This concept is preached in nearly every diet and is a well known fact, but having a hands on learning experience with the numbers laid out in front of you really makes this concept come to life rather than just an abstract idea.
