Who doesn’t like to stargaze? There is something peaceful and exciting about looking at stars in the night sky. But it can be a little frustrating when you live in a bustling city like Sunnyvale. City lights and pollution can make it difficult to tell the difference between a star and a radio tower.
Well, NASA is here to help. On Wednesday, October 20, the Sunnyvale Library is hosting “How to Stargaze/NASA Missions Update” with special speaker Eric. B. Norris. Norris is a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador and he will teach you what you can expect to see in your own backyard. He will also go over different telescopes that might be useful for a home astronomer. In addition to stargazing, Norris will give updates on current and planned missions by NASA.
The program will run from 7pm until 8:30pm. Contact the Library at (408) 730-7300 for more details.
