Do you have brittle and dry hair? Is its color lackluster and boring? Well, forget those pricey commercial products you can find in today’s market (they do nothing but damage your hair even more) and instead, look into natural treatments for dry, oily or damaged hair, all of which can be found in your very own kitchen.
Believe it or not, the majority of commercially bought hair conditioners actually have alcohol in them – the one thing that makes hair dry to begin with. Fortunately, one of the natural treatments for dry, oily or damaged hair only requires you to grab some mayonnaise and plastic wrap and throw two towels into the drier. Put the mayonnaise onto your hair and massage it from the scalp to the roots until you have fully coated your hair. Then, pile your hair onto your head and cover it in plastic wrap to keep the mayonnaise in. Lastly, wrap a pre-heated towel around your hair for deeper conditioning. Keep each heated towel on your head for around ten minutes. When you’re done, you can shampoo your hair as you please. Do this once a month to make sure your hair stays shiny and soft all the time. If you have damaged hair due to chemical treatments, though, you should try doing this every week.
Now, if you have a naturally oily scalp, you probably have to shampoo it daily to make sure your hair never looks greasy. But what can you do if you are in a hurry and are short on time? Grab some cornstarch and a blush brush – that’s what! Dip the blush brush into some cornstarch ad brush it onto your roots and scalp. Keep doing this on different parts of your hair for around ten minutes, so that the cornstarch can soak up all of the extra oil in your hair. When you’re done, simply brush your hair out to get rid of the leftover cornstarch flakes in it.
Usually, lackluster hair and drab coloring can be attributed to today’s styling products that start to build up in the hair and dull out its tone and shine. Get rid of this buildup with natural treatments for dry, oily or damaged hair by pouring a quarter cup filled with apple cider vinegar into a gallon of perfectly distilled water. Store this in the refrigerator or a cabinet and use it every few weeks to keep your hair clean. Simply wet your hair with some warm water and pour two cups of the mixture onto your scalp. Then, clean your hair with some cold water and you’re done!
