The City of Sunnyvale is currently searching for staff members for two advisory committees: Human Relations and Cultural Diversity Advisory Committee and the Advisory Committee on Accessibility. Community members that live or work in Sunnyvale can apply for either committee. The City has posted the application for both committees online on their website at: sunnyvale.ca.gov.
Got a vehicle that you want to get rid of? Now you can for free through Sunnyvale’s Fall Clean-Up Tow-Away program. Interested residents need to call the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety at (408) 730-7104 to set up a towing appointment or to find out more information about the program. Appointments are being made throughout October and the vehicles will be towed in November.
Be sure your vehicle meets these basic requirements before calling. The vehicle must be towable and all four tires must be inflated, all garbage and debris needs to be off and out of the car, and you must sign over the car’s pink slip to the towing company that the city arranges for you. One important note, the vehicles removed as part of this tow-away program do not count as an IRS deduction.
