The New England Patriots hang onto the top spot in Week 6 of JAMcLynne’s NFL Power Rankings. Surging in the NFL power rankings for week 6 were the Indianapolis Colts and the Ravens, who slid back into the top 5. The Eagles also made a move upwards the week 6 NFL power rankings after an impressive performance by Kevin Kolb. The Eagles may be slightly over rated in this version of NFL power rankings since they have only won against much weaker teams.
Another team may be knocking on the door to get into the top 5 for week 7 could be the Pittsburgh Steelers. They were able to shift upward in week 6 of the NFL power rankings as Ben Roethlisberger will be returning to the line up. Big Ben should have an easy warm-up game against the Cleveland Browns to get back into the swing of the game.
The New York Giants are another team that is coming on strong. They won a second week in a row. The most recent win came against a strongly ranked Houston Texans. The Giants are now boasting one of the better defenses in the league.
