The NFL power rankings Week 11 have the usual shakeups. The top of the NFL power rankings Week 11 are filled with three 7-2 teams, and a slew of 6-3 teams with various levels of momentum. Even the 7-2 clubs have question marks, as the Patriots took a big tumble before this week, the Jets may be lucky not to be 4-4-1, and no one knows if the Falcons can keep their pace up. Meanwhile, the Packers, Saints and Colts are waiting to finally live up to expectations. In any case, the NFL power rankings for Week 11 are riddled with question marks, just like in the first 10 weeks.
The Steelers lost their chance to stake their claim to No. 1, after the Patriots dispatched of them. Just two weeks ago, the Patriots were the clear cut No. 1, but their loss to Cleveland knocked them down several spots. Now, pundits may have to place them on top once again.
Their closest competitors in the NFL power rankings Week 11 are the Falcons and Jets. For the Falcons, they impressed with their last second win over the Ravens, although they blew a fourth quarter lead first. For the Jets, they barely avoided an embarrassing tie against the Browns, as they once again escaped by the skin of their teeth.
In the meantime, there are nine 6-3 teams jockeying for position, though some looked stronger than others recently. The Steelers and Giants took a big step back, although the Giants will pay more for losing to the 2-7 Cowboys. The Eagles rose up big last night, while the Ravens likely won’t drop off too much, and the Colts can move up by beating the Patriots on Sunday.
The Packers and Saints may benefit the most in the NFL power rankings Week 11, because they didn’t play. If they stop being inconsistent, they can take back control in the NFC, although the Falcons and Eagles are perceived as the NFC’s new leaders. Yet the Giants held that position for a few weeks, and forfeited it out of nowhere this past Sunday.
Perceptions change pretty much every week this season, but they changed more than ever this weekend. The Patriots and Eagles had their biggest performances to date, yet they have to do it again against arch-rivals this Sunday. The Jets are searching for easier games, while the Falcons are still trying to prove they are in this for the long haul.
The top 12 of the NFL power rankings Week 11 are on big highs, or pretty big lows – yet they will likely be on the other side before long.
