Thom the recruit graduated but first had to do a test to prove himself worthy. The test involved Thom killing a senator’s intern named Anna. Nikita tried to save Anna in time but Thom actually succeeded in killing Anna. Nikita found out that The Division was hired by the senator to kill Anna because she was pregnant. Before Anna was killed she underwent a paternity test but was waiting for the results.
Nikita went to Anna’s parents to convince them to run get the results of the paternity test and expose the senator. Instead the parents turned out to be Russian spies. Nikita killed one and got captured by the other one who told her that Anna was also a spy who got involved with the senator to spy on his activities. They worked for a Russian agency called Gogle. Nikita met Ari, who she was assigned to kill back when she worked for The Division. Ari injected Nikita with a toxin and she wouldn’t get the anti-toxin unless she killed the senator.
Nikita called up Alex at The Division and told her to get her the anti-toxin. Alex faked a medical emergency and got the pill. Then she ingeniously slipped it into Thom’s pocket for Nikita to find since Thom would be the senator’s bodyguard that evening.
At the event Nikita got the pill and then took off. She met up with the bartender ex-boyfriend of Anna and shared some romantic advice.
Then Nikita saw Ari again who told her that they should team up. Nikita shot him and said she worked alone.
