Atlanta Braves’ second baseman Brooks Conrad committed three errors in Game 3, including allowing the Giants to score the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth.
The Giants received seven and one-third solid innings from Jonathan Sanchez, who allowed only two hits and one run while only allowing one walk and striking out 11 Braves.
Atlanta tacked on another run off of Giants’ reliever Sergio Romo in the eighth to take a 2-1 lead.
However, San Francisco was able to score two runs in the top of the ninth off of Braves’ reliever Craig Kimbrel to take a 3-2 lead. Brian Wilson pitched a scoreless bottom of the ninth to secure the win for San Francisco and give the Giants a 2-1 series lead.
