Ferndale held another city council meeting November 22nd at City Hall. After roll call and the approval of agenda, the city heard from Chris Hughes. The Marketing and Communications Manager did a presentation to update on Downtown Development Authority activities and events. Chris primarily spoke on the many events and activities taking place on Black Friday and through the holidays in celebration. The Rotary Pancake Breakfast was discussed, as it was later in the call to audience.
The call to audience also included a suggestion to fill a vacancy on the council. A Hazel Park resident shared their thoughts on the raid by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office on the medical marijuana dispensary. The Mayor Of Hazel Park congratulated Mayor Covey on his election to the Oakland County Commission.
The council also considered the employment agreements with the Chief of Police, Fire Chief, the consideration of reorganized City Hall positions. Other discussions included the succession process for the Mayor and proposals from acoustical consultants.
