The boardwalk features a number of attractions including a water park, amusement parks, go-carts, bike rentals, miniature golf fine dining restaurants, and a nearby downtown shopping district.

Location and Accommodations
Ocean City, New Jersey is in close proximity with Philadelphia, New York, and Baltimore. Whether visiting for a few days or longer, many areas near the Ocean City beaches feature a variety of hotels, motels, condos, and home rentals.
Beachgoers in Ocean City must purchase beach tags. These tags are available for the season, the week, or the day. The seasonal tags are available for purchase during the pre-season at discounted rates. They are available at the following locations: City Hall in 9th Street and Asbury Avenue; 46th Street Post Office along West Avenue; and Welcome Center Boardwalk at Mooryn Terrace. During the pre-season, these locations have limited work hours.
Every summer, since the peak season has a very high demand for these beach tags, the seasonal, weekly, and daily passes can also be purchased from City employees who work on the beach.
First Aid Stations
Ocean City is divided into two zones from north to south. Each zone headquarters provides first aid stations catering to either the north or south of Ocean City. The first aid stations are available in the following locations: 1st Street, 12th Street, 34th Street, and 59th Street.
Ocean City Beaches
42 summer season guarded beaches are open every June. During off peak season, only a limited number of guarded beaches are available. These pre- and post-season guarded beaches include St. Charles, 9th Street, 14th Street, 44th Street, Brighton Pl., 11th Street, 26th Street, 57th Street, 8th Street,12th Street, and 34th Street.
Ocean City also offers the Surf Chair Program featuring accessible wheelchair service for the mobility of limited individuals exploring Ocean City beaches. This program is located at the Ocean City Sports and Civic Center along the 6th Street of the Boardwalk. This beach accessible wheelchair service is available every weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with latest check-in time by 4:30 p.m., then every weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with latest check-in time by 5:00 p.m.
