October Holiday Series 3- There is a nationally dedicated holiday for each day in October. Balloon artists around the world will be handing out free balloon art to by passers. Whether you are an expert balloon designer or can barely get a balloon blown up, there is a way for you to take part.
Go to Balloons Around the World and sign up if you are an artist or find an event if you aren’t an artist. Click on the appropriate links at the bottom of the page. Artists who sign up will receive a free button. Many countries and almost every state has an event.
What if there are no events?
Have a neighborhood balloon art event. Rent a helium tank if necessary, and invite your neighbors over. See how many balloons you can manage to tie together as a community.
Make balloon treats for the office or classroom.
Explore balloon history with your child. You could also print out color sheets.
Explore Newton’s Law’s of Motion with your children, or test your own theories. Anytime is a good time for science.
Have a ton of fun. Leave comments on how you celebrate quirky holidays. To explore more holidays in this series, view my profile page.
