On Saturday, September 25, Octomom Nadya Suleman held a yard sale outside her La Habra, California home in efforts to pay her mortgage and feed her 14 children. According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, the Orange County Register stated that Suleman sold photos with her for $10 and charged $100 for those who wanted to pose with her and her posse of octuplets.
Suleman has reported to RadarOnline that she is “destitute” and is facing foreclosure unless she can come up with a balloon mortgage payment of $450,000 by October 9.

The yard sale wasn’t the everyday suburban-like yard sale one would expect to see, obviously. There were television and tabloid reps there to cover it. Additionally, in efforts to raise money for her mortgage, Suleman has allowed cameras into her home to document her current struggle.
Recently, Suleman was offered $500,000 by Vivid Entertainment, an adult film making company if she would give them “one scene for one hour.” As tempting as that may have been(!), Suleman has steadfastly refused their offer and instead taken the higher road in trying to make money for her family.
Octomom told RadarOnline, “I’m just trying to put my best foot forward and do what’s best to save my home and feed my children.”
It’s not certain at this point what Suleman made for the entire sale, but it did yield at least $125 for a Lakers jersey signed by Suleman, eight devil Halloween costumes netted $50, and a refrigerator fetched $85.
Suleman also sold the red hot bikini she wore for the cover feature of Star Magazine in January (one year after the octuplets were born), a bra with gummy bear stains on it, and a “time-out” baby chair that Oprah Winfrey gave her when she appeared on Oprah’s show.

Suleman said, “I’m a good mother and my kids come first. We will get through this.”
