Oprah said this would be the best season ever and she is right. I will be sad to see her show go off the air, but the guests she has invited for the last season have been incredible.
Her interview with Marie Osmond was extremely moving as she discussed the death of her son. I was touched when she sang a song for him at the end of the show. She had to stop near the beginning because it was too emotional for her.
The interview with George Bush was wonderful. I have never seen him so comfortable with himself. His discussion regarding why he made the decisions he did and how he wish he had handled Katrina differently kept me on the edge of my chair. I especially liked it when she was at their home and talking with his father and mother. His strong love for his family was very evident.
I only saw the end of the reunion of the Sound of Music show, but I was able to see the sounds clear and pure. I loved it.
Last week she had Oprah’s favorite things- where she gives gifts to her audience. She out did herself and the audience loved it. I loved the singing group at the end when the sang The Little Drummer Boy. That is my favorite song and I actually had goose bumps.
I am looking forward the rest of the season. Even though her ratings have gone slightly, they are still off the chart. I think it’s over seven million views. Wow! If you think about it that is amazing!
I will be watching and wondering what she will do for her last show, and look forward to the new show she will be doing. All I can say is congratulations Oprah! You’re the best!
