The Outlook Preview Pane, also called the “Reading Pane,” allows for some customization.
Some of the Preview Pane options are shown here.
To turn on the Preview Pane or change its location, click on the “View” menu, hover to “Reading Pane” and select “Right,” “Bottom,” or “Off / On.”
Obviously, the “Right” option places the Preview Pane on the right side of the screen and “Bottom” places the Preview Pane on the bottom of the screen.
The “Off” or “On” toggles based on your selections.
Some users prefer to leave the “Preview Pane” “Off” because they like to double-click and open the e-mail in a larger window.
However, text within the “Preview Pane” can be enlarged quite easily.
Simply click in the “Preview Pane” and use the scroll button on your mouse to change the size of the text.
To do this, press the “CTRL” key and roll the scroll button forwards and backwards. Forwards enlarges the text and backwards makes the text smaller.
Use these Preview Pane options to help Outlook work best for you.
NOTE: Depending on the format of the e-mail, some e-mails may not enlarge when using the “CTRL” key and the scroll mouse.
