The Palo Alto Library is requesting volunteers for their Library Home Connection Outreach Program. Those interested should fill out an online volunteer application found on the Library’s home page at cityofpaloalto.org.
Library volunteers allow the staff more time to provide a wide variety of services on a daily basis. Volunteers are needed year-round and there are flexible days and times available to meet a wide range of schedules. Volunteers work on a number of tasks including working with children; mending and repairing books; delivering library books to homebound residents; shelving books; filing and clerical tasks; and other tasks as needed.
Besides giving back to the community, there are many other benefits of volunteering at the Library. This includes being eligible to join the Palo Alto City Employees Credit Union, being invited to the Library’s annual volunteer appreciation event, newsletters four times a year, and more.
