I recently had the opportunity to dine at the Paradise Landing Restaurant and Bar located just east of Balsam Lake , Wisconsin . I found it to be a very nice place to eat and relax. Balsam Lake , Wisconsin is a beautiful little town that is a little over an hour north east of the Twin Cities area.
As we parked our car in the front lot I found myself in awe of the large rustic log building that was the Paradise Landing building. I was very pleased with the look of it. It was very clean and neat and big too. We walked into the restaurant and found a warm greeting from the seating hostess. It was a nice day so we walked through the restaurant and were seated on the patio facing the Balsam Lake that Paradise Landing is located on.
We enjoyed a lovely lunch of pizza and sandwiches as we looked out on the lovely lake. A few boats loaded with people came and docked at the restaurant docks and the occupants walked up to the patio for lunch.
The pizza I ordered was too large for me and I could have shared it with someone else. It was so good I found that I ate it all myself. My husband had the Turkey club with some waffle fries. Everything was fresh and tasty. The ice tea we had was very refreshing and we could get it without sugar or artificial sweeteners.
The food was good but the atmosphere was amazing. It is a charming place with a fine view of the lake. In the restaurant you can sit near a window or by the warmth of the fireplace if you wish. The Paradise Landing was started by lake residence in the early 1900’s. People came to dine, party and have a good time in a lovely environment. Now you can still do that.
Paradise Landing is open everyday of the week for lunch and dinner. You can go there for a good meal, a nice drink or possibly both. You can play a game of pool, dine by yourself or with a large group. Come by car or you can get there in your boat and park at the pier. Take a walk down by the lake and enjoy the scenery.
