Paris Hilton has pleaded guilty to drug possession and obstructing an officer. If you remember, on August 27, 2010, Paris and her boyfriend, Cy Waits, were pulled over on the Las Vegas strip. The police had reported seeing a “vapor trail” (Marijuana smoke) coming from the black Cadillac Escalade. Paris was questioned after her boyfriend failed a field sobriety test. She reached in her Chanel purse for lip gloss and accidently pulled out a baggie of cocaine.
Paris has reached a plea agreement according to USA today and The Associated Press. Hilton will serve a year of probation, 200 hours of community service, and pay a $2000 fine. If she breaks any laws besides a minor traffic violation in the next year she will spend one year in prison. The court will have no discretion at that time.
What do you think? Can Miss Hilton stay out of trouble for a whole 12 months? Is it certain prison time for Paris? She also faced marijuana charges at the World Cup games in South Africa in July. If she breaks the law outside of the United States, does that count? It will prove to be an interesting year ahead for Miss Hilton!
