Winter is nearly here and a new theatrical season is set to kick off the festivities. The Brooklyn Lyceum theater will feature the Ugly Rhino Micro Season; two weeks of music, celebration and theatrical bliss. The festival is centered on two absurdist pieces, Celebration by Harold Pinter and Rhinoceros by Eugene Ionesco. These plays are the heart of an eclectic and lively artistic celebration, that will feature music, dance, and visual art to create a multifaceted theatrical experience offering a diverse variety of performances and events.
Featured musical acts will include The Happy House DJs, Grace McLean, Erin and Her Cello, Max Vernon and Horse’s Mouth amongst others. Pinter’s Celebration will be directed by Nicole Rosner. Ionesco’s Rhinoceros is directed by Danny Sharron with set by Kent Barrett and Daniel Jackson and costumes by Juliet Fox. The cast includes an array of local talent; Michael Bernstein, Pete Forester, Sarah Hartley, Greg Coughlin, Ethan Hova, Kristin Elliot, James Ortiz, Emilio Tirado, Eileen Townsend, Matt Wise, and Natalie Woolams-Torres along with dozens of other local talent.
