As downtown Royal Oak’s Arts, Beats & Eats approaches, businesses are starting to boom. Some are opening up their parking lots in hope of some new customers . Most will provide free parking or a very low fee, that is if you don’t mind a little walking. If you’re like me and you cant wait to jump right in to the action, you may want to park a little closer to the festival. Parking in structures or in lots around downtown Royal Oak will cost you $15. Off-site parking in lots at Hazel Park Raceway and Royal Oak High School will be $10 per vehicle, and includes shuttle rides to and from the festival.
Parking is fairly low this year, not to mention the extremely low admission fee of $3. Fun is just around the corner at Arts, Beats & Eats. Enjoy great music, food, and art at this legendary celebration of summer. I’ve been a citizen of Royal Oak for over 3 years so here’s a little advice. Be extremely careful driving if you decide to attend the festival. I would not suggest talking on the phone or any other distractions, always watch for pedestrians, and drive a little slower than normal. Other than that, have a great time.
