Peace and quiet, peace and quiet,
How I love my peace and quiet.
Then the roar of a lawn mower occurs outside,
A cat screams like it’s about to die.
Two kids argue over a game of tag.
A lit firecracker makes for a noisy gag.
Police sirens go off a few seconds later.
My mind goes bonkers like an overstuffed waiter.
My peace of quite is at an end.
There’s no use in denying it.
I don’t plan to pretend.
I’m going for a ride to a quiet lake.
Hopefully, I won’t make another mistake.
