Peanut Butter Twix is a candy flavor that has been around off and on since 1983. It has gone it’s bits and spurts of being popular and then falling off the popularity wagon. Each time it is re-released, there is something new about it that the company has tried to improve upon to make it popular once again. This time, it has been the cookie center.
Originally, Peanut Butter Twix came out with a vanilla cookie center, like the original Twix candy bar. This time, it has come out with a chocolate cookie center that is hard and dry, making the candy bar taste nearly inedible. The peanut butter center is too sweet and creamy to be real peanut butter, making it all around seem like the candy bar is trying too hard. A fact that may be why the company is pulling it from the shelves once again, once all the candy in stores has been sold.
I feel that if you have tried putting out a candy that has seemingly failed repeatedly, then you should probably not keep trying. I felt that this was a waste of my money, as the cookie left a bad taste in my mouth and was far too dry. The peanut butter was too sweet to be called peanut butter, therefore, I’m not really sure what it was. The only thing that was good about the candy was the chocolate coating, and there is not really a lot that can be done with that when you have an inferior product being coated with good chocolate. I do not recommend this candy bar to anyone. It is a waste of money and you can do so much better with something else.
