Strollers for pets are a fairly new concept and one I think is a fabulous idea for most pets. I would say this would not be a product for the larger size dog but some of those little to medium-sized guys sure would appreciate it. Have you ever gone for a walk with your dogs and one of them gets tired out too quickly or can’t keep up with you and the bigger guy with you? Do you have an older or very young dog that cannot keep the pace? Ever take kitty for a walk in the fresh air along with the family? I can only think of the many benefits that your pet can enjoy from his/her very only stroller. Dogs that are either older or not feeling very well can reap extreme benefits from a pet stroller. To add your pets’ own personal touch, include a comfy dog bed, personal blanket and favorite toy within the stroller and enjoy some fresh air for both of you with no strain on your ailing, aging pooch. Most of us have more than one dog, sometimes different sizes and ages, and when going for that needed healthy walk, not all dogs can keep up. I have had to carry one or two of my little guys/gals for a time because the bigger younger dogs can go on. . . quickly, kind of like the energizer bunny. But the smaller dogs can tire out faster, making a stroller a great asset. I have been wanting to get one for my Chihuahuas and something I am currently pursuing. It always makes it a little nicer to personalize the stroller with some of your dog’s own things like a blanket, favorite toy and or a dog treat. Some people enjoy the option of taking kitty out for some fresh air as well. Many of the strollers have a zippered screen covering and a way to hook your pet with a safety belt which attaches to your pet’s collar to keep it inside the stroller, even when opened. What a perfect way to take your little kitty on a pleasant fresh brisk walk in the lap of luxury while you keep yourself physically fit. The only disadvantage to the stroller that I can see is the possibility of your dog not getting enough exercise. Even little guys do need to get some kind of exercise. That’s where going for a walk would come in, bringing the stroller along when the little legs just can’t go any further. There are so many varieties of pet strollers to choose from. Most do come with a safety belt, a zippered screen covering to close it and extra areas for storage, treats, water, whatever you may want to take with you on your walks. There are, however, some with special features. One may be a versatile 4 in 1 backpack and stroller in one and another is a stroller, carrier and car seat. It all depends on your needs. Measure your dog or dogs to find the one for your specific needs. We all need to walk more. What better way to have a fun fitness workout than to go walking your best little friend in the safety and comfort of their own little “carriage”.
