PhotoImpro has quite a bit of photo effects for you to use. One set of those effects is the Artistic effects. There are three artistic effects you can choose from. In this tutorial, I will show you how to apply the artistic effects to your photos. To get started, you will need to open the photo that you want to apply these artistic effects too. If you opened the photo in the main program, you will also need to double click the photo and open it in the editing window.
Aquarelle Artistic Effect
The first effect that I will show you is the Aquarelle effect. To apply this effect, you will need to click the Filters menu at the top of PhotoImpro. When the menu opens, you will need to place your mouse on the Artistic option and a sub-menu will open. In the sub-menu, look for the Aquarelle effect and click it.
You will now see a settings box open in your window. In this settings box, you will see a preview of the photo as you are working on it. You will probably need to size the photo down so you can see what you are working on. You can size it down by zooming out using the icons at the bottom of the box. Continue zooming out until you can see enough of the photo to work on it.
Now you can adjust the radius and the amount bar to adjust the filter. Adjust the two bars until you have the effect the way you want it. When you are ready to apply the effect, click the OK button. If you decided that you do not want to use this effect, you can click the Cancel button and it will not be applied.
Oil Paint Artistic Effect
Next in line is the Oil Paint effect. To apply this effect, you will need to open your filter menu again. Place your mouse on the Artistic option and click the Oil Paint option in the submenu. When the box opens, you can adjust the Mask Size to what you want and click the OK to apply the effect.
Texturize Artistic Effect
The last artistic effect in the list is the texturize effect. To apply this effect, you will need to click the filter menu again and place your mouse on the Artistic option. Then you can click the Oil Paint option. When the box opens, you can adjust the amount to what you want and select the texture you want to use. To select a texture, click the texture box. When the box opens, click the texture you want to use. Click the OK button to apply it.
