With the Photoscape photo editing program, you can create many different effects for your photos and apply quite a bit of filters. In this tutorial, I will show you how to apply light effects to your photos in Photoscape. You will need to load your Photoscape program and open the editor section.
Opening Your Photo to Apply the Light Effects
You will need to first open the photo you want to apply the light effects too. To do this, locate the folder in the panel on the left with the photo you want to use. You may have to expand some of the main folders to get to that folder. Once you find the folder, click it and all of the photos in that folder will show in the bottom panel. To open the photo you want to use, you will need to click the photo in the bottom panel. The photo will then load in the window on the right.
Opening Your Light Effects in Photoscape
Now you need to open your light effects. There are two different menus you can open to get these light effects. I will show you how to do both. The two light effects are both in the Home panel at the bottom of your Photoscape.
The first light effects we will look at is the Backlight. Find the Backlight button and click the Arrow beside it. Then select the light option you want to use. You should see a change in your photo. If you do not, you may need to select another option. You can also click the Backlight button a couple of times to automatically apply the backlight. If you want to go back to the original image, you can click the Undo All button in the right panel.
The next light effect is the Bloom effect. Again, you can click the arrow to see your options which are High, Medium, and Low or you can click the Bloom button to apply the effects.
Play around with these effects to create some really cool looking photos. Remember, you can undo all of the effects and restore the original photo at any time by clicking the Undo All button. When you are finished, you can click the Save button and save your photo.
