Each other year for the last 6 years I have spent my favorite holiday, Halloween, in my favorite town, Salem. Unfortunately, due to my lack of having a job I will not be travelling to this wonderful scare filled city to celebarte my favorite time of year.
But, I first entered Salem for The witching Hour, a great and huge Harry Potter Convention. I was there leading a round table on “Life after Dumbledore” and fell in love with the city. There were 1000’s of Harry Potter fans that converged upon the city all decked out in their robes for their respective houses. It was honestly the most fun of my life. I went back with a friend of mine one year and returned last year with my son and girlfriend. I am so going to miss it this year. It will almost make my heart break.
But, alas instead of getting mad and casting spells, just a little joke, I am going to do several articles on my favorite city. I am going to share my knowledge and love for the city. I hope that I will also provide you with a few city secrets and unknown tricks to getting around the city. It is really such an awesome place.
We will look at several items. Here are just a few:
- Hotels- even the haunted ones
- Children’s activities
- Historical activities- pirates, literature, and witches
- Fun things to do if you are an adult
- The actual witch sub culture there
- Vampires- yes there is at least one vampire in Salem.
- Magic Shows
- Neighboring towns
- Best way to travel
- Their Halloween specific events like the parade and ball
So, let the 40 Days of Salem Halloween begin…
