Most people look around ad see the bigotry that others have towards each other, but did you realise when you down someone for being less fortunate than you, for having a different religion than you that you are guilty of performing acts of bigotry, hate, and prejudice.
Everyone in this world performs these crimes, and usually by accident. These people aren’t evil unless they act out using their hate and intolerance to reference why what they did is just, and still that isn’t evil, but the act most likely was. When we give in to hate and intolerance of others just because they are different than the norm or because others think differently than we do. This makes us wrong, and look bad to those who are truly trying to reform their world. Remember, everyone is guilty of hate crimes and intolerance to change. For instance.
1 When a woman categorizes men as all being the same.
2 When men believe that a woman’s place is at home caring for the family.
3 When a woman or other men think/s that a man can’t be a man unless he is working. (Men can stay home and take care of kids too.)
4 Men who believe a woman is only good for one thing. (Playing house/doctor.)
5 Women who say that men are only good for one thing. (Bringing home the bacon or playing house/doctor.)
Men and Women say that they are either from Venus or Mars. I don’t think this accurately describes all men or women. Both are very complicated. Women are more emotional and hormonal I’m told. However, I have seen some really hormonally challenged males too. I have also heard it said that more analytical. Not always true. I have actually met some very analytical females. Matter of fact, I have been accused of being of analytical. I don’t like to rush into anything without thinking out all the conundrums.
1 I’ve heard it said that children don’t know anything. (have you seen the Internet these days and kids have access to it on a constant basis. If you aren’t monitoring your kid-chances are your kid may just know more than you do.)
2 A guy or woman thinking that because they are older than another adult, that they are obviously more intelligent than the younger person.
3 age issues in dating can be a form of discrimination (unless of course it is an adult dating a under aged minor-that is just wrong and illegal, because the child has not had a chance to grow emotionally or physically-I actually believe the age limit needs to be raised for this one, because I don’t think some people reach adult hood until they reach their twenties. Maybe I am being discriminatory. However, I don’t believe that I reached an adult state of mind till I was probably 25.)
4 Thinking that person is to old for certain things is an extremely big taboo that we all do. Like: dating, working, driving, giving advice, and more.
Forms of Religious hate:
1 Christians say that if you aren’t Christian that you are going to hell.
2 Some Christians believe that if you aren’t Christian that you must be devil worshipper.
3 Some Wiccan/Witches/Pagans believe you can’t trust Christians because they will burn you at the stake if you don’t believe in their faith.
Fear makes us believe horrible things about each other-that may have happened in the burning times, but I’m hoping that most Christians used to believe in torching or hanging witches or pagans have evolved-not only that but you really can’t criticise all Christians for that. Because, some Christians during that time put together places to hide Witches and Wiccans from such harshness (an underground railroad for pagans and such during those times). So not all Christians are bad-get over it-don’t condemn the whole crowd over a few fools.
4 Muslims killing Christians is wrong but it is happening in places like Iran and other Muslim countries because they don’t want their faith drowned out or corrupted by new teachings that isn’t theirs.
These are all hate crimes and they are ripping at the very fabric of what we all want-PEACE.
I suggest instead of spreading hate, fear, lies, bigotry, and prejudice-that we learn to teach love, acceptance, peace, joy, laughter, to turn the other cheek when you can’t agree. We should all learn to agree to disagree, because we can’t think and believe exactly the same.
I am a Universal life Reverend. This doesn’t mean that I believe in Christianity. This doesn’t mean that I believe in Wiccan or Witchcraft. It doesn’t mean I believe in Judaism, Buddhism, Taoism, or whatever. It meanest that I accept all religious views have a grain of truth to them.
I believe there was a God or Goddess-a supreme entity of some sort that created all things. I believe that it created other entities/beings and even more entities/beings. I believe that the older generation of entities/beings were asked to watch over, to teach, and to protect the younger entities/beings. Some of these entities/beings were named as gods/goddesses by some cultures, but weren’t and won’t ever be as strong as the one that created all things. I believe that these same entities/beings were also considered angels, fairies, sprites, etc. by other tribes and cultures. I do not think any harm was meant by the different interpretations, but it is were everyone gets all confused and mixed up. The Stories may be different from each other, but so what Moses wasn’t there for the Aztecs. He was there for the Jews. The Greeks are familiar with Venus, Poseidon, and other such gods and goddesses. This doesn’t make their ideas and beliefs evil or wrong. So they didn’t call them angels or spirits. I’ve heard people pray to the Mother Mary and to the Arch Angel Michael. This doesn’t make them wrong either. They are just going through the chain of command that they were told to go through in asking for help, kind of like a huge cooperation, with the all high supreme Deity at the top telling the spirits, and gods, goddesses, demi-gods and demi-goddesses what to do and who to help. You have to admit without all these young spirits around, maybe the All High Deity would be lonely, but don’t take my word for it. I haven’t made it to the other side, and if I ever do-I don’t think I’ll be coming back unless ordered to.
Maybe I’m wrong. What if I’m right and everyone is equally wrong and right at the same time and you are all pointing fingers and judging each other for absolutely no reason at all, with our loving parent who put us here on this planet wiping his/her/its brow saying “Why me?” “Can’t they just learn to play nice together and stop all this stupid fighting?”
Colors/Appearances/Physical and or Mental Handicaps
I’m bigoted-I’ll admit it-I hate racists. I can’t stand someone who can stand in front of me and down a race based on its skin tone, its accent, things that its dictators did in prior history, the fact that they may or may not came from a more natural environment instead of a social or politically correct environment. (Meaning if the kid was born in a tent knows nothing but a tent, but humans today think that it is wrong because they live in houses with toilets and swimming pools and don’t know how anyone can live like that. Excuse me, but the kids don’t really need all that. Haven’t anyone gone camping for a week without any gear but maybe a tent. Probably not, but for those who have, good for you.
In this world we have people living in igloos in the harshest of environments. I would love to see some of these urban dwellers do that. If you do, don’t freeze.
In this world we have the Aborigine or tribes like them who are afraid that taking a picture of them will take away their soul. (Only goes to show how if something isn’t understood it can get you into trouble and quick.)
Sometimes ignorance is bliss, but sometimes it is equally dangerous. Finding and defining that middle is the hard part. People scare easily. We need to evolve more mentally, not just spiritually. We need to open our hearts, shut our mouths, and give the next person beside us a huge hug whether we like them or not.
When my kids made me mad, I would give them a big hug, and while I was hugging them I would explain why mommy was crying, why what the child did was wrong and mommy didn’t want the child to repeat the mistake. The hug probably dealt good, but watching mommy cry always seemed to have just the right effect. I poured my soul onto them in every tear asking them begging them not to repeat the offense. Sometimes I would have to send them to their room, for both our sakes. After all, you might as well admit it, we all get pretty mad sometimes. When you ask someone not to do something and they keep doing it you just want to smack them don’t you. You can’t do that though. Violence is never the answer. It only brings about more violence, anger, mistrust, and pain. Instead we need to address things with a little more gentleness. It may be that not everyone will agree with this, but that is just the violent heart talking. Some people say that they have been spanked their whole life and it never hurt them any. Maybe so, but what if it did one thing you aren’t aware of. What if it is part of the reason you can’t open your mind to someone else’s point of views. you say you open minded, but really, if you did say that the spankings that you received didn’t hurt you but made you stronger, maybe you aren’t as open minded as you thought. Maybe it made you to hard. However, if you did think about it a little, maybe it was what you needed. I don’t think spanking a child is wrong, but spanking a child when you are angry is. I never once allowed myself to spank my child when I was angry, but I did give them one or two in the time that they were growing up in my care (usually it was more like a pat on the behind-I would then tell them in to “go to bed before I blow my top” as if I was really ticked. I could never really get to mad at them. The way I see it, they are me. They grew inside of me. They were a part of me. And in getting mad at them, I would only be getting mad at myself. So what I would do would be to devise a way that I could keep them from creating such mischief again. I would think really hard about how if it were me, would I get meyself into trouble and how best to keep them from doing all the insane things I would have done or liked to have done short of making them a prisoner in their own home. Most of the time my kids got time outs, and such. I remember yelling always scared the wits out of me, and that is all my parents knew how to do was yell why what I did was wrong, but I can’t remember anything they said. So, I tried not to yell anything at the kids. Instead, I sat them down to explain everything
I’ve gotten of topic a bit. Let’s see if I can bring it back on topic.
I have ADHD, Asperger’s, and suffer partial seizures. I suffer from a very lucky form of allergies. I’m allergic to benadryl, pseudo-ephedrine, ephedrine, sulfur and probably 80-90% of the medicines on the shelves. Why is this beneficial, you might ask. Because it kept me from being the stereotypical mentally challenged person. I had a rotten life growing up. I would have done anything to blot it out. I’m allergic to malt so I can’t drink beer. I’m allergic to the phosphorus agents found in most wines and such, so I don’t normally drink that either. I don’t drink. I can’t say I never have. While married to my first husband, I would get blindly drunk on the very day he would come home hoping to dull the pain of him beating me either mentally or physically. I couldn’t stand it any more. He was a OTR (over the road truck driver), and I was glad of it, because it ment that I only had to see him once or twice a month for a day or two at a time. I didn’t like drinking to make the pain go away and he made the brutal mistake of hitting me in front of my daughter. Four years later after the judge finds out that I have the mental disabilities ADHD, Asperger’s, and suffer from pitmal seizures/pitman seizures/partial seizures he award the kids to the very man who had beaten me for so many years despite the medical records proving it and despite the fact that this man tried to break into my home while a restraining order was in effect to try and kill me. This is an act of prejudice and fear that I hope doesn’t end up hurting my kids somehow, but it is, because I am to terrified to go near them. I am afraid he will hurt them to get at me, and I won’t do that. No one can or will save them from him. No one will help me either. I know because I asked every service and lawyer that I was told to visit and then some. Life isn’t fair, but we learn to live with it.
Sure, I could have attacked him back, and took the kids by force. I could have ran across the state line and hid in some other country, but that is kidnapping. If found, the courts would just give them back and I would be put away forever or what would feel like it.
I call them at least twice a week. They don’t spend much time on the phone. It rips my heart apart that they don’t want to spend that extra bit of time to talk, but they are only kids.
My son has Asperger’s, ADD, and ADHD. I woke to him screaming one night that he couldn’t move. I asked the doctor what they thought would cause that problem, if he might be like me. They said he needed more treatments. Do you think my son will get that treatment in his father’s care. I understand that his dad fired his counselors saying he didn’t have the money to take him every week.
While in my care, both kids seen counselor, had a PSR, seen doctors when they needed it (sometimes when they didn’t), and I had no money. I would walk across five miles of town to take them to the doctor. I would have died for those kids.
What makes someone with a mental handicap that never did anything evil in her life an unfit parent? What makes a person who is money hungry, easy to anger, dominating, selfish a good person to be a parent? I don’t understand how this hearing was determined the way it was, but I doubt that it had anything to do with an unbiased court room.
People are biased in all levels of degrees. “What are your pet peeves?” “What makes you scared?” “What sets off your alarm bells?” I’m a Reverend od all diversities of Religious Beliefs. I believe that all people have the right to their beliefs, the religious views without persecution and so did our founding fathers here in the United States. Our constitution was built on it. We need to stop spreading hate, bigotry, fear, and injustice. If we fear it, then we don’t understand it. This makes it our obligation and duty to learn more about it. If it is dangerous, we do not have the right to destroy it, but to quarantine it perhaps, yes.
No one wants to help the drug user get off the drugs. Instead they want to place them in cells and in prisons. They want to lock them up so no one else can see them and so they won’t infect their kids. I don’t want my kids on drugs either, I hope my kids inherit my allergies to meds-lol. Maybe they will stay away from such junk, but in the event that they did, I wouldn’t lock them in a prison cell. I would ask that they be declared mentally incompetent, placed in my care under house arrest with a locator chip placed under their skin, a leg locator to give them the idea that it is the true locator device, so they can be found easily and cameras around the home to keep them under constant surveillance. (I have no problem with doing most of the surveillance. It was my idea after all.) I would ask that they be put on work duty to help pay for these devices seeing how the state shouldn’t have to pick up the tab for everything. I would also ask for a PSR worker and a probation officer to be placed in charge of the person so that they can be monitored correctly if I need to be at a work place or something. If they wanted to go somewhere they would have to clear it through both the PSR and the probation officer as well as myself seeing how I did ask for the young adult/full grown adult to be placed in my care. I really think drug users should be treated like kids. They aren’t using any common sense when they are using after all.
