Pantomime: Lead your preschool students in a pantomime of the growth of a tree. Begin as a seed in a crouched position on the floor. Slowly stand up, stretching your arms out as you do so.
Art Center Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Trees
Tree art: Give each of your preschool students a piece of white construction paper. Have them glue the green circle and brown rectangle that they cut out earlier onto the white construction paper, making a tree. Instruct them to press their thumb to a pad of red ink and then make thumb prints on the green circle. They have now made an apple tree.

Pre-math Center Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Trees
Set out the letters t-r-e-e that you have previously cut from felt or laminated construction paper. Put out an example of the word tree for your students to use as a guide. Have them set out the letters, properly spelling the word tree. Instruct your preschool students to count the number of letters in the word tree. Now have your preschool students count out 4 tree shapes to set beneath the 4 lettered word.
Pre-writing Center Activities for Preschool Lesson Plan: Trees
For younger students, provide sheets of paper with the letters T and t lightly printed on them. Have the children trace the letters. Do the same with the number 4.
For older students, provide an example of the letters T and t and the number 4. Have the students practice writing the letters and number freehand.
Write the word tree on your preschool classroom’s white erase board. Let your students copy the word tree on the white board with green dry erase markers.
