The preview trailer for the new TLC network show called “Sarah Palin’s: Alaska” has debuted. Sarah Palin rocketed to super stardom when she was picked from obscurity to be the vice-presidential contender on the 2008 Republican presidential ticket.
Prior to this she was the governor of Alaska; a role that she resigned from in July 2009. Recently she’s been traveling and giving lucrative speeches. Most recently she’s been seen in the audience of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” cheering for her daughter Bristol who’s a contestant on the show.
Her folksy manner introduced during the 2008 presidential campaign won many people over and it appears that this new show will highlight this.
The trailer opens with a male voice saying: “Sarah, you ready?” And she replies: “Oh gosh! We are somewhere that ahh people dream about.” The video shows a shot of three people – one of them being Ms. Palin – snow shoeing up a snowy mountain and by a glacial lake. Interspersed are graphics proclaiming: “No Lobbyists,” “Only One Agenda.” Then Palin says: “Family comes first. It’s gotta be that way.” The video shows her with her youngest child Trigg. Then there’s a shot of Todd with him. Then Palin is at home in front of her stairs telling one of her daughters: “No boys.” The video then shows a small red plane flying in the sky and the graphics: “Family Adventure,” and “Step into Sarah’s Back Yard.” Palin says in a voice over: “This is flipping fun! How come we can’t just be satisfied with tranquility? I’d rather be doing this than be stuck in some old political office. I’d rather be out here being free.” Video interspersed shows her kayaking, grizzly bears playing in a lake, Palin fishing, waving at the plane, riding an ATV, riding on a dog sled and playing with her kids.
The show will premiere Sunday November 14 at 9 pm on TLC.
