Some thoughts from last night’s summer finale:
That was a big bombshell at the end of this finale, with Shawn and Jules kissing. Normally, I would worry about something like that. But, the fact they did when she is dating and going on a two week vacation with another man does add just enough of a complication to keep it interesting.
I especially like the fact she is dating Shawn’s friend/nemesis Declan; both because he has a lot to offer her and because he knows Shawn’s secret and, in retaliation, could let the cat out of the bag at any second. I normally don’t like it when shows add new characters but he is one I hope they keep around a while.
That part where he accidentally let’s Jules know his feelings did feel a bit set up in my opinion; mostly because we are never really given an explanation as to why she has to be the one who stays behind in the van.
Just a bit curious, if Shawn and Jules do get together and she learns he’s not really psychic, is she going to require him to stay away from detective work like she does Declan?
They managed to link the spy they were helping to Jules’ brother. But, I honestly think this episode would have been much better if John Cena would have returned in that role in some capacity.
Maybe it’s because I watch too many detective shows but I managed to finger Fong as the real bad guy half way through the episode simply because I knew the woman they were helping didn’t do it and the other government agent was too verbal (the bad guys in this series are usually the quiet ones in the background and he is the only one that fit that description).
