Starbucks has the famous pumpkin spice latte that comes out every fall. It tastes like the perfect mixture and pumpkin pie. In fact, coffee drinkers all over the nation look forward to this time of year so they can get their hands on this delicious drink. If you want a nice, warm version of this drink without having to venture out into the cold weather on Thanksgiving Day, you can make an easy, inexpensive version of these drinks at home to share with everyone. The only out-of-the-ordinary ingredient you’ll need to buy is some pumpkin-flavored coffee creamer, which also comes out to stores during the fall season and can be purchased for only a few dollars.
Coffee grounds or instant coffee
1. Brew a pot of coffee or boil enough water to make the number of cups of instant coffee you want to prepare. Prepare the coffee at the strength you regularly drink it at.
2. Pour the coffee into your cup and add 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of pumpkin-flavored creamer. Mix the creamer in with the coffee until your coffee has an even, light-brown color.
3. Spray whipped cream around the top of your coffee cup. The whipped cream adds an extra creamy taste to your coffee… like it would when you put whipped cream on top of a piece of pumpkin pie. Because of the heat, the whipped cream will eventually melt into the coffee. If you don’t want the extra creamy flavor, skip the whipped cream.
If you’re serving this drink during the afternoon or evening hours, use decaffeinated coffee instead. This gives you a warm, fall-flavored drink to enjoy without the effects of the caffeine keeping you awake when you should be taking you post-meal nap.
