These recipes are very easy to make and are great for gifts or for a party.
1 cup milk chocolate chips
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups raisins
Line baking sheet with wax paper and butter it well.
Melt chocolate, condensed milk and vanilla in saucepan, stirring constantly, over low heat.
Remove from pan and stir in raisins. Drop on sheet by spoonful and refrigerate until firm. Store in container and will last at least two weeks.
1 cup blanched slivered almonds
½ cup butter
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
Line bottom of cake pan with foil. Butter the foil.
Combine almonds, butter, sugar and corn syrup in saucepan. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. It takes about 5minutes to turn a golden brown.
Spread mixture in pan with aluminum. Let cool and break into pieces. Good for at least two weeks.
Double Double Chocolate Truffles
½ cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon butter
4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
7 oz milk chocolate bar
1 tablespoon amaretto
In a saucepan combine whipping cream and butter. Cook over medium, stirring constantly, until hot. Do not boil. Remove from heat and add both chocolates. Then add amaretto. Stir until smooth.
Put plastic wrap directly onto surface. Cool at least three hours. Shape into balls and roll in almonds. Refrigerate for two hours and then store in container. These can last 1-2 weeks.
