The NY Post recently reported that the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation is taking “pro-active” measures against the possibility of rodent infestations. When asked if the park has a rodent problem, President of the City Development Corporation, Regina Myer, stated flatly “absolutely not.”
However, the Post reported that local residents have seen rats and mice on Pier 6 of the park where the children’s playground is located.
The city said it was only interested in controlling the mice and rats populations. Should they exist. They didn’t want to eliminate the muskrat populations which have attracted a number of neighborhood fans in recent months.
The Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation is currently accepting bids for the project.
