Helping the planet is more affordable than ever for Birmingham residents this November. The city is offering recycling bins for half-off their regular price throughout the month. Normally, one recycle bin costs $12. In November, it costs $6. This is a great opportunity for people in Birmingham to do their part to help the planet.
Recycle bins can be picked up at the Department of Public Services office at 851 South Eton. They are available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Birmingham’s recycling services are provided by Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority, or SOCRRA. Public bins are also available in six downtown locations.
