This article will serve as a walkthrough for the sixth Allied mission in the PC game Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 which is entitled ‘A Monument of Madness’. This mission starts with Tanya being controlled and having to destroy a small outpost before MCVs are granted. The objectives of A Monument of Madness in Red Alert 3 is to stop President Ackerman from firing his super weapon on the Soviets, which would surely end the tenuous cease-fire between the Allied and Soviet forces. The Allied Commander will be assisted by Warren in the struggle against Ackerman’s forces during A Monument of Madness in Red Alert 3.

Start the mission by moving Tanya north to the power plant. Kill the attack dogs outside the turrets range before rushing the turret to plant C4. Timing this right allows Tanya to survive this attempt with a sliver of health, where right after the turret is destroyed, the chrono belt can be used returning her to full health. Alternatively, your co-commander can be ordered to send a spy in to disable the defenses. Destroy the barracks before moving to the com tower, clearing the infantry before C4ing the tank and now disabled turret here. Blowing up the Com tower opens up the next phase of the mission, granting the starting bases to both commanders.
Immediately work on economy, building ore refineries, than a barracks to train engineers and capture the oil derricks scattered throughout the map. Train forces up right afterwards, building airbases to launch bombing runs and para-drops. You will have to destroy the firebase before the president’s limo works its way around the map. Once the president’s limo has passed the first (Jefferson) control center along its route, a cut scene shows the opening of the Jefferson head, unleashing a powerful defensive weapon. The second towers open up only after the president’s limo passes their control centers, so finishing this mission quickly is actually slightly easier to do.
Build century bombers, get the advanced aeronautics power, and drop an engineer on top of the Jefferson control center to deactivate it’s turret. Wait until you can build mirage tanks and add some of them to your army before launching an attack on the main base, and once a considerably force is amassed, push into the enemy base, ordering your co-commander to assist. Focus on prism turrets in range of your forces first, as they are incredibly destructive to vehicles. Also make sure to bring Tanya with, so she can rush in and C4 the Firebase to quickly complete that objective, before your force can be destroyed in a prolonged firefight.
The presidents limo will stall momentarily, before teleporting (not an ability, it just seems to sort of jump…) around the map, before chilling just to the right of your main base. Quickly grab your century bombers and target his limo. Two century bombers should easily blow his limo to smithereens.
It’s important to get this done quickly, or he will soon board a helicopter, which can be somewhat difficult to destroy unless you had the forethought to leave a sizeable force at your base to chase it with, or build Apollo fighters (suggested option, just in case) without having reason to up until now, as the enemy does not use air forces. The helicopter will quickly take a northwest line to leave the map, and if he does so, this whole mission ends in failure. This is most certainly the most aggravating point in the game up until this point, since there is no prior warning to this whatsoever. Apparently EA like to test your precognition skills, but I digress.
Once the president is down, the plot to fire the super weapon is stopped, and the shaky alliance between the Allied and Soviets is saved for now. This marks ‘A Monument of Madness’ completed in victory.
