Royal Oak residents who played extras in the upcoming remake of Red Dawn won’t get to see themselves on the big screen yet, according to RedDawn2010.com. The site, which is not affiliated with MGM, has let slip that the film won’t be released until 2011.
The film, which recently received a PG-13 rating, revolves around a United States that’s been invaded by communist China. The approach varies from the original version in which the Soviet Union and its allies occupied most of the country.
According to Yahoo! Movies, the film was due to be released on November 2010. However, MGM has just filed for bankruptcy and will consequently be delaying the release.
