Can you say “pandering political jerkoff?” Try it – it’s really easy and rolls off the tongue quite smoothly. And to head off those who will in this late 11th hour, claim I am railing against Crist because he will win and defeat Rubio in the Florida Senate race, get over yourselves. Rubio is a shoe in with a huge lead going into tomorrow’s election.
But my point is glaring. Crist is the entire problem with Republican’s In Name Only, or RINO’s as they are so aptly named. RINO’s do not see a distinction between themselves and Democrats, and for that the likes of these people must be removed from the positions of political power within the Republican Party and especially from positions in the Congress.
The term “bipartisanship” is a misused, overused, lofty and asinine proposition. Let’s explore.
There are two distinct parties for a damned reason. Democrats who act like Republicans do not serve their Democrat constituents and surely RINO’s do not serve their Republican constituents. If I wanted a nondescript, undefinable entity to represent me I would have voted for Casper the Friendly Ghost. I want the people I vote to office to represent the reason I voted for them, and despite the talking points from the left, voting for a RINO is not what I am shooting for here.
Democrats and progressives will tell ya bipartisanship is the bomb, but that is with one, unspoken caveat – that the one being bipartisan has an “R” after his or her name. If the person being bipartisan has a “D” after their name, what do Dems and progressives call them? “Traitors” and the like, so let’s not pretend bipartisanship is a real goal of the left. It is a talking point and a point of fine tuned denigration aimed squarely at Republicans to coerce them to go along and give Democrats whatever they desire.
It’s also used as cover by Democrats. Recall Obama’s efforts to get even 3 or 4 Republican’s to vote in favor of his usurpation, Obamacare. So if there are 178 House Republican’s would 3 or 4 voting in favor of the Democrat nonsense actually been “bipartisanship?” 3 or 4 out of nearly 200? Don’t treat me like I’m stupid for Heaven’s sake. But still they sought the 3 or 4 so they could apply the “See, this isn’t bad, bad Democrats slapping the citizens in the face – it’s BIPARTISAN!” What a crock. Thankfully Republican’s, even the dreaded idiot RINO’s saw that for what it was, thus denying Democrats their much wished for cover for their usurpation.
Can reader’s see the handwriting on the wall here? When Crist lost the primary to Rubio, he became an Independent. When Lisa Murkowski lost the primary in Alaska, she became a write in candidate. These are two glaring examples of conservatives voters rejecting RINO politics in favor of real conservatives, but Murkowski and Crist decided to go to the dark side and play the pandering game.
Notice in contrast JD Hayworth in Arizona. He is a real conservative, and McCain, his opponent, is a real RINO. So when McCain won the primary, did Hayworth wanna play spoiler and make an independent or write in run? Nope. See to accept the voter’s dicta takes honor, and Lisa Murkowski and Charlie Crist have as much honor as a thief in the night. They want power and prestige and care little for whom they must bed down with to get it.
We are and always have been a CENTER RIGHT nation. Polling is not even open to debate on this matter. How is it, as Democrats and progressive incessantly forward, bad to be a center right politico? Isn’t that merely a mirror image of the electorate, and in fact, isn’t that the job of Congress and the President? To reflect the will of the nation, especially in keeping with the concept of “the will of the governed?”
Crist is a panderer. He seeks power and prestige and is truly, by his actions since going independent, proving by his admission he will caucus with the Democrats should he win, a RINO! Democrats do not stand for any disagreement in their ranks. They play the “bipartisan” card over and over to coerce Republicans to side with them so they can A) win the day, and B) not wear the blame alone for their party’s actions, ie., Obamacare, and almost all Obama Administration political desires, for which Democrats will pay dearly in the morning.
Charlie Crist and Lisa Murkowski are the main examples of the whole problem with RINO’s and fools who think to go along with one’s philosophical enemy is somehow the enlightened thing to do. Yet when Democrats are asked to be bipartisan, the few who might do so are attacked and destroyed by fellow Democrats and their leadership for being bipartisan. And that is the example they forward as being the good one? Please!
Bipartisanship is a bludgeon to beat conservatives and Republicans about the head and shoulders, and all to further Democrat political power, prestige and agenda.
Tell ya what….if bipartisanship is so damned delightful and the thinking man’s way to go, come later this month when the Democrats hold their lame duck session, let’s see them put their money where their fat, lying mouths reside. It is clear people want ALL the Bush tax cuts extended. Do it Democrats. It might help your future fortunes if now, ya did the right thing and followed the consent of the governed. Or Democrats can default to their usual manner of business in the last 6 years since Pelosi and Reid became the leaders in the House and Senate, and ignore the long and loud screams against it the electorate are very vocally putting out for all to hear.
When the dust settles in the wee hours of tomorrow evening, don’t any lame fool go asking “What happened? How can this be?” We have told you, over and over, how it came to be but you were way too smart and nuanced to listen to our conservative butts, so spin on it suckers. We told ya, but you knew better, right? Not so much.
