Today I enjoyed a visit to Fazoli’s restaurant, located at 1902 W. Loop 289 in Lubbock. I have eaten at this location several times, and have always experienced fantastic service, quality and atmosphere. I give this restaurant a “thumbs up” rating. I highly recommend it.
Fazoli’s a is a fast-food type Italian restaurant. It is very affordable. My entire meal cost less than five bucks. It is a great place to have lunch with a friend, eat out after church, or even eat alone.
I consider it fast food, because the food is ready quickly. Also, you do not have food delivered to you, but rather you order in line (like at McDonald’s) and pick up the food. If you are from Lubbock, and have eaten at Rosa’s, I consider Fazoli’s to be the Italian form of Rosa’s.
I met a couple of friends there at noon. The wait was not long at all. The cashier was very friendly. The tables and dining area were (as far as I could see) very clean.
And, one of the best things about Fazoli’s is: You receive free bread sticks. A worker walks around the room asking you if you need more bread sticks, and if you want some, you got ’em. In fact, I would say the only negative thing about Fazoli’s today is that we were asked too many time if we wanted more bread sticks. But, really it isn’t that annoying at all.
As you can see from the menu online here, Fazoli’s serves spaghetti, lasagna, pasta and salad. You can even get pizza. I really enjoy the baked spaghetti. Of course, there’s many other selections, including chicken broccoli penne, tortellini robusto, fettuccinne alfredo. You can also get a sandwich such as a Club Italiano, and Smoked Turkey Basil.
The seating is casual. There’s booths and tables similar to other fast food restaurants. It is decorated with an Italian food theme. For example, there are decorative jars of pasta on display.
Overall, I highly recommend Fazoli’s. This location at 1902 W. Loop 289 is located on West 19th Street. It is just down the street from LCU and the Groves Branch Library. Give it a try sometime!
