After receiving a sample of this mascara from a friend, I decided to try it out. The small size is really convenient to carry around nicely. The mascara comes in a greenish tube with a silver cap.
The wand is shaped like a cone, tapered on one end, which makes it very good for getting mascara to the inner lashes. However, it does pack a lot of product on the ends, which can be a product when trying to get mascara to the inner lashes. If you are careful and make sure to wipe of excess mascara on the side of the container, it is not a problem. The wand is fairly densely packed, which delivers a pretty good application in my opinion.
The mascara itself is easy to apply, and does not clump a lot. Because of the wand’s shape, it does clump a little bit, but I think it is worth being careful if you can get your inner lashes to be coated. Just be aware of potential clumping, and you will be fine.
The mascara works fairly well. I don’t see amazing, thick, full lashes after using this, but I do see some volume, in addition to length, but mostly volume. The mascara does hold a curl pretty well, and even without curling your lashes, the mascara will make your lashes look a little curled. One problem with the product is that it is not waterproof. It doesn’t smear, but it will wipe off somewhere or other, and your lashes will look flatter than they did when you first applied them.
Overall, a good size to travel with. It is very convenient and it does work, but I think that I wouldn’t buy the full-size product. I’m probably more likely to invest in a drug store brand because you do have to throw out mascara every so often, and I cannot use all of the mascara in the tube. However, I may just get one of the mini mascara samplers from Sephora if I want travel size mascara. Note: I did not receive this sample free for review. I think got it as a gift with purchase, and it landed with me.
