I had a lot of trouble trying to get my freshwater aquarium’s pH set to 7.5 for my goldfish before I found this product. I tried, and wasted a lot of money on many products that either didn’t work at all, or didn’t work very well. I have never used any other product that preformed as well, or even close to API Proper pH 7.5. I would recommend it to anyone with goldfish, guppies, barbs, swordtails, platies, and mollies. Also, for all of you that patriotic, and like to buy products that are made in America, you will be happy to know that API Proper pH 7.5 is made in the United States of America. The only drawback is that you unfortunately can not use this product in an aquarium with live plants.
Not only does Proper pH 7.5 set your aquarium’s pH to a perfect 7.5, it also is a water conditioner that removes chlorine, neutralizes chloramines, adds electrolytes and detoxifies heavy metals, so it’s like two products in one which saves time and money. It is also very easy to use. First you need to shake the container to mix the powder. Then you need to remove the plastic scoop in side of the container. Sometimes it can be a little difficult to find if it gets buried under a lot of the powder, but if you keep digging, you will eventually find it. Each scoop will treat 10 U.S. gallons (38 L) of aquarium water. You want to use this product when you are starting up a new aquarium, doing partial water changes, or adjusting pH in an already established aquarium. If the first dose doesn’t give you the desired pH you are looking for of 7.5, a second dose can be added eventually. As with all chemicals, you will want to keep Proper pH 7.5 out of the reach of children and handle with care. If you are having problems with the pH in your aquarium, I hope this product will help you the same as it helped me.
