Kraft Bagel-fuls made with Philadelphia cream cheese sounded like a great tasting breakfast and I couldn’t wait till the next morning to try it. I had chosen Bagel-fuls Apple Cinnamon and Philidelphia Cream Cheese out of several flavors.
The Bagel-fuls box said the bagel was cinnamon and brown sugar with apple filling and cream cheese. I didn’t realize when reaching for the box that it stated that the bagel was flavored, so I was pleasantly surprised when my first bite of the bagel tasted so sweet and good. The bagel was chewy and soft, except in places where the toaster had dried it out.
The apple filling was also sweet and delicious. The apple filling layed on top of the cream cheese. Since I am not a huge cream cheese fan, I would have preferred the Bagel-fuls without the cream cheese. However, it did add a creamy taste to an otherwise sweet and cinnamon breakfast bagel. To a true cream cheese lover the Bagel-fuls would probably have been perfect.
I was thrilled when I looked at the nutritional information on the box of Kraft Apple Cinnamon and Cream Cheese Bagel-fuls. A single serving only had 190 calories, 3 grams of fat and only 2 grams of cholesterol. I wasn’t as thrilled with the idea of sodium at 190 milligrams or at eight percent of the daily nutritional value. However, since a serving also provides ten percent of the daily needed amount for iron and calcium, it seems to be a decent breakfast choice.
One box of Bagel-fuls contains four single wrapped servings. The box of Bagel-fuls can be either stored in the refrigerator or the freezer. While the choices of how to eat a frozen Bagel-fuls is limited to the microwave, the choices of a refrigerated Bagel-fuls is slightly more open. You can warm it up with a toaster, a microwave, or if you are in a hurry just unwrap the Bagel-fuls and it eat cold.
I had warmed up my Apple Cinnamon and Cream Cheese Bagel-fuls in the toaster. Although the directions said to run for one cycle, I ran mine for two cycles. Parts of the outer bagel was dried out and crispy. Despite being heated twice as long, the center of the Bagel-fuls was disappointingly chilly. I found the best way to heat up the Apple Cinnamon and cream cheese Bagel-fuls is with a combination of microwave and toaster use.
I would recommend Bagel-fuls to any cream cheese fan, although I wouldn’t so much to those who aren’t.
