The results show for Week 7 of Season 11 on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ started off with a repeat performance of “Team Apolo” from Monday night. We got to see Kurt, Brandy, and Jennifer hit the dance floor in unison once again! The celebration of the 200th episode continued on Tuesday night.
The first couple to be deemed safe was Brandy and Maks. Not surprisingly, Bristol and Mark were placed in jeopardy. Afterwards, cohosts Brooke and Tom showed the five moments that were nominated as the ‘most dramatic’ during the show’s run. The winner was Marie Osmond, for when she fainted after one of her performances.
The five nominees for the ‘best worst dancer’ were also shown, among them Kate Gosselin and Billy Ray Cyrus. The winner of this category, however, was Kenny Mayne, who was on hand to accept his award of two left feet on a plaque.
Taylor Swift was in the ‘DWTS’ house to perform her hits ‘Mine’ and ‘White Horse’. Rod Stewart also took to the stage for his rendition of ‘I Get a Kick Out of You’. That raspy voice is inimitable.
The next two couples to learn their fate were Rick and Cheryl, Jennifer and Derek. Even though Jennifer had an emotional week during rehearsals, tonight she expressed that she loves dancing and does not want to leave the show. She got her wish, because it was announced that she was safe for another week. However, Rick was placed in jeopardy.
The show then presented the five nominees for the male dancer who had undergone the ‘biggest dancer transformation’. Louis Van Amstel took home the prize – a ponytail on a plaque. He beat Maks, Tony, Mark, and Derek in this category.
The ‘best judges moment’ was shown next. The best moments from Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli were on display this time. They have certainly had their share of memorable quotes. There was no winner for this one – just plain showing how crazy the judges can be!
The final two couples to find out where they stand were Kyle and Lacey, Kurt and Anna. The Disney star was put in jeopardy, while the athlete remained safe. So, ‘Team Kristi’ from last night became the bottom three couples, based on viewer votes.
Of Bristol, Rick, and Kyle – the stars at the bottom – the one who would live to dance another day was Bristol. With four stars now safe, Rick and Kyle became the two in ultimate jeopardy. Would it be the youngster with a big personality, or the basketball player with a heart of gold? At the end of the day, the tall, seasoned athlete didn’t make the final five. Rick Fox became the 7th celebrity eliminated from Season 11. Stay tuned for next week’s theme: instant dancing.
