Once you play Rockband 3, it will be the only rhythm game that you’ll ever want or need. Not only does this game fix the kinks that were rough in the previous Rockbands, but this one gives you a great amount of new features to the Rockband experience that rock hard fans have come to know and love. Below is the full review of Rockband 3.
One of the biggest new features of this game is the keyboard and the different ways that you play it.Just as the guitar has five multi-colored buttons and emulates plucking and strumming like a real guitar, the keyboard gives you the satisfying percussion of playing a real piano, especially in Pro Keys mode where all 25 keys are to be played. The game breaks down sections of notes on the keyboard into different colors so that you become more familiar with the track you’re playing. It starts off difficult at first, but this makes it even more fun to play with once you get the hang of it.
Another new feature in Rockband 3 is the Pro Drums mode, which lets the game recognize inputs from three extra cymbals and a second petal. These features can be mixed and matched however you want them. Every track from the whole Rockband 3 catalog will adjust to whatever way you mix and match the drums and cymbals.
Progressing to further levels in this game is entirely in ‘goals’ that the player has to unlock by playing and doing various tasks across the game’s different modes. There are many goals, such as completing the game’s many tutorials, perfecting certain sets of songs, as well as hundreds of other types of tasks. The more goals you pass, the more amount of fans that add to your rank and some even unlock new gear and outfits for your band’s members.
One new element to the game that everyone will be happy for is the Menu Navigation. Players can jump in and out the game at any time by pressing the Start button. From this menu, the players can choose characters, join or drop out of the band, change the difficulty or choose songs. Choosing songs is not a much complicated process in this version. The game’s 2,000 songs can be sorted by genre, difficulty, instruments they support, and so on. You can even rate your favorite games after playing them.
The full experience of Rockband 3 can be accessed by using the ‘All Instruments Mode’. This mode allows the keyboard, 2 guitars, drums, and 3 mics to be used at one time. But for the full experience, it will probably cost you around $500. The game itself is only $59.99.
I would have to give Rockband 3 a 5 star due to it’s ease, rhythm, and fun. For more about Rockband 3, feel free to visit the link below:
