The second annual “Bras for a Cause” event will take place at the Royal Oak Music Theatre (318 W. Fourth St.) on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 6 to 10 p.m. The event, a bra-themed benefit, is held this year in celebration of the life of Metro-Detroiter Shannon Iezzi Watson, who succumbed to breast cancer in April of this year.
“Bras for a Cause” will be hosted by Dave Coulier (former star of the sitcom “Full House”). Music by Jill Jack and Stewart Francke will be featured. The night will also include the modeling of “art bras” by breast cancer survivors, as well as both silent and live auction opportunities.
Tickets are $40 in advance, $45 at the door. All proceeds will benefit Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit — an organization that was formed in memory of Gilda Radner and is dedicated to providing support to those afflicted by cancer. Donations will be accepted throughout the evening.
