At a Nov. 11 meeting, the Royal Oak School District’s Board of Education voted to continue the popular Schools of Choice program for the upcoming year. The program allows parents to place their children in any school within the Royal Oak School District. The program will be continued for the 2011-2012 school year, and will be open to students in kindergarten through third grade; only Oakland County residents may apply for the program. Applications are available at the district’s website, or at the administration building (1123 Lexington Blvd.). Applications will be accepted from March 1 to Aug. 31.
