The parents of Royal Oak High School soccer players say that coach Jason Windsor resigned on October 4 due to upsetting Facebook posts that he made; Windsor’s boss, though, begs to differ. Superintendent Thomas Moline says that Windsor’s official reason for resigning is based on scheduling conflicts. That’s small consolation to parents who claim that Windsor’s Facebook rants left them feeling threatened and upset.
According to parents and students, Windsor posted angry diatribes on Facebook which were aimed at players and players’ parents. Copies of the rants were made and forwarded to Athletic Director Brian Gordon. Windsor, however, claims that his Facebook account was hacked and that he did not make the upsetting posts. In any event, Windsor has resigned his post as coach of Royal Oak High School’s Ravens soccer team, after only a few short months of serving.
